Felt it could’ve been a bit better, especially communication wise. This is a weird one. I dunno if it’s just because i was buying a cheaper watch out of their inventory but I feel that shouldn’t change the customer service.
THE TIMEPIECE GENTLEMAN DALLAS FREE
overall ok experience, Marco did give me a free hat which i appreciated. I also reached out about ways of sizing the watch since that wasn’t done at the time of me seeing it and i never got a response. So i then had to drive to get it after paying 50 dollars to have it shipped directly to me. I get a notification this morning saying that my package is ready for pickup at a fedex location an hour away from me. Completed the wire and never heard anything until I text the following day asking about when it would ship and i did receive a quick response. It never came through i actually had to reach out myself in order to get it the next day. I committed to buying it and was told i’d have an invoice within an hour. Once i got there he said he couldn’t do a debit card payment currently which i wish i’d of known before hand because i then had to pay 50 dollars for shipping. I bought a 1975 OP from them and drove far to see it in person with intent to buy it, Marco was aware of that. Did he go back to his old job parking cars.9) Nothing about frozen bank accounts10) Nothing about unpaid wheelchair employee and his grievances11) Nothing about Anthony responding to some comments that he doesn’t need to answer ANY questions on a post he created to ask him ANY question12) Nothing about Marco owing his ex GF money13) Nothing about wearing consignment pieces without permission14) Nothing about the pic of Anthony that looks like he has an ankle monitor15) Nothing about buying YouTube subscribers16) Nothing about the excommunication by Pontiff Archieluxury17) Nothing about claiming to buy a Lamborghini once you get investor money18) Nothing about your hubris that you are a marketing genius and can sell cups19) Another dealer Alfred selling Anthony’s RM20) Most important nothing about the damage you caused other dealers and their consignment business Was the charity even the true purpose of the social media blackout or just a coverup.4) Nothing about ghosting consignment clients who gave APs, Rolex, RM and Pateks5) Nothing about all online 3rd party platforms (Chrono24, eBay, forums, etc) don’t have any of their watch listings.6) Nothing about shady misrepresenting on TPG website listing a very low price for watches that only after clicking on it does it say it is the PayPal deposit price only.7) Nothing about deleting negative YouTube comments8) Nothing about Marco’s absence in the “apology” video. Roman even encouraged some to pay this $2k3) Nothing about the initial “Reveal” video that TPG posted and quickly removed and using a charity’s good name without their permission to try to cover up this huge mess. The grey watch market is #1 built on trust and Anthony has not yet directly addressed:1) Nothing about Rolex giveaway lies2) Nothing about changing the terms on the $2k investment/ donation for a new storefront that does not exist. Please note that these guys are slammed to the max with business so be patient with initial contact. My money showed up on time via wire transfer. Prices paid for my watches were extremely fair. Watches received exceeded my expectations. My wants/needs were very complicated but Anthony and Mike made it work exactly as desired. After a couple introductory e mails and phone calls we were able to come to terms on a 3 watch buy sell trade deal. I ran across Gentleman Timepiece on U tube. Recently I needed to sell a couple of high end Rolex and AP pieces and buy some fresh examples. Ive been doing this as a hobby since 1998 and Ive seen it all.
Typically dealers want to give the seller a fracton of actual value on the buying end and charge screaming retail on the selling end. Buying and selling high end watches is a minefield with loads of pitfalls and problems.
